The Department of Engineering and System Science at National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), located in Hsinchu, Taiwan provides the best interdisciplinary engineering program in Taiwan and remains in the top tier of similar academic program in Asia. The department has 35 full time faculty members with a diverse background/expertise, including nuclear engineering, electronics, mechanical engineering, material sciences, physics and chemistry. The multi-disciplinary undergraduate course curriculum covers the fields of electronics, material science and engineering, physics, energy engineering. The research areas include photovoltaic, plasma science and engineering, nuclear power plant technology, radiological science and technology, nanotechnology, micro-electro-mechanical systems, semiconductor device processing and measurement. Our department invites applications for a tenured or a tenure track faculty position in Photovoltaic, VLSI Design, Nanobiotechnology, Nanomaterials, Condensed (hard/soft) Matter Physics, Neutron and Synchrotron X-ray Scattering, Plasma Science and Technology, Energy Storage, Nuclear Materials and Nuclear Power Plant Technology. All levels of faculty position are available. All candidates should demonstrate promise for excellence in teaching at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
