: Department 5348 seeks a Build and Release Engineer to join our software development team and modernize our development and deployment environments\. We develop real time data processing software and firmware for small form factor Synthetic Aperture Radar \(SAR\) in support of a variety of ISR missions, and deploy into multiple R&D and operational platforms\. As the team's build and release engineer, your responsibilities will range from evolving and maintaining the team's existing development processes and tools, including our build and test infrastructure, to automating the configuration and updates of 5340's advanced radar systems\. On any given day, you may be called on to: + Deploy and configure Linux for development, testing, or deployment\.+ Analyze processes and make improvements to increase individual and team productivity\.+ Evaluate new technologies or tools for potential optimizations to various aspects of our software and systems\.+ Work with vendors to acquire software and hardware, resolve defects, and provide support\.+ Add more automation to our build and test infrastructure or improve existing elements\.+ Perform vulnerability scans on existing system to ensure security requirements are maintained\.+ Plan and perform software upgrades for various operating systems and tools\.+ Elicit and collect hardware requirements for new processing systems\. Required: + Requires bachelor's degree in relevant discipline plus entry level experience \(up to two years\); or master's degree in relevant discipline\.+ Expertise in system administration of Red Hat Enterprise Linux: installation, configuration, Kickstart/Anaconda, creating RPMs, and creating/maintaining yum repos\.+ Basic knowledge in system administration of Windows systems\.+ Experience in virtualization technologies, such as VMWare\.+ Expertise in the use of automation and configuration management software, such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible\.+ Experience with various scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, Bash, and PowerShell\.+ Experience with version control software, such as Subversion and git\.
