: You will be performing safety basis analyses of nuclear and industrial facilities to ensure safe operation\. Analyses of processes, systems, and accident phenomenology will be routinely performed\. You will develop and review nuclear safety cases and reactor licensing applications\. You will identify hazards, establish hazard categorization based on regulatory requirements, perform complex hazards analyses to identify appropriate controls, and conducts detailed readiness reviews\. You will also perform engineering analyses of nuclear or radioactive materials, chemical inventories, high\-energy materials, and operations to resolve a facility's hazard categorization\. You will perform safety basis analyses for facilities, including hazard identification, hazard analysis, accident analysis, and control selection\. You will oversee licensing collaborates with respect to licensing of a new nuclear reactors or nuclear facilities\. Document safety analysis \(DSA\) and technical safety requirements \(TSRs\) for nuclear facilities, safety evaluations for accelerators, and safety assessments for industrial facilities that require a more rigorous analysis\. + Experience with the management and execution of safety basis activities including, development of compliant DSAs and TSRs, safety assessments, facility hazard categorization, execution of the USQ and MOC processes, and implementation of process safety management\.+ Experience with reactor kinetics, physics and thermo\-hydraulic engineering calculations and modeling\.+ Knowledge of radiation engineering \(shielding, dosimetry, etc\.\) and health physics principles\.+ Knowledge of and experience with qualitative and quantitative accident analysis techniques\.+ Experience and validated skills in conducting research, investigating alternatives, and recommending solutions on problems affecting safety basis issues\.+ Ability to develop a working knowledge of Sandia's safety basis policies, practices, and procedures\.
